After studying mining at RWTH Aachen University, Gerald Kleer spent 10 years at RAG AG (the largest German coal mining corporation): six years underground as Head of Production, Rigs and Boreholes; and four years in professional education, organisational development, change management and outplacement, where he qualified as a systemic organisation consultant, coach, trainer and project manager.
Subsequently, he spent eight years as a management consultant at T.A. Cook Consultants in Berlin, with a focus on asset performance management and human resources, recruiting and team building. Following management training, he spent seven and a half years as managing director and authorised signatory of BUCHEN, a leading industrial services company based in Cologne, where he was responsible for Eastern Europe and specifically procurement, technology and technical training and development.

Clemens Schlotter’s legal experience, comprising working at the German Regulatory Authority for Energy and Telecommunications in Berlin and legal practice abroad from 2007 to 2013, spans more than 15 years. Before establishing his own corporate consulting firm in 2014, he was partner at Beiten Burkhardt and at the law firm Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners, where he participated in many projects related to foreign investment in Russia and Kazakhstan, including M & A transactions, establishing joint ventures and commercial law matters.
He now advises foreign clients on their investments in EU countries, primarily in Germany and the UK.
